Best Shoes for Plantar Fasciitis

I’m looking for a good boot. I’ve had surgery – heel spurs, three encased nerves, plantar release. I do my stretches, wear new balance and Rx crocs (dr recommended) After a year post op, I get to return to my regular activities. Can you recommend a boot that I can use for serious gardening and messing in the woods? I’ve found 6″ Merrell boots to be more comfortable than my New Balance with inserts. Can you recommend a better leather boot? (snakes in the woods)
